I worked with code, data and complex systems – first at eBay, then in consultancies. My experience also includes work with the Fraunhofer Institute on the Stasi document reconstruction project. But amid the noise of the city, I longed for calm and room to think.

In Bergslagen I found more than a house. There are forests, lakes and quiet here. The think tank in the green became a place where ideas can mature and the analogue balances the digital.

Wood teaches me patience. Code needs thought. After 25 years in the profession, I know good solutions need time to be tried and refined. I take on fewer projects and want to do them properly.
